Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear for a professional headshot?
Choosing the right outfit for your headshot makes a huge difference in how confident and polished you look. I always recommend wearing something that feels like you — but slightly elevated from what you’d wear in a typical workday. Solid colors photograph best (avoid busy patterns or logos), and layers like blazers or jackets can add depth and professionalism.
Think about the image you want to project:
Corporate roles: Classic suits, blouses, or button-downs in neutral or jewel tones.
Creative fields: Clean, stylish pieces that reflect your personality without distracting from your face.
Entrepreneurs and small business owners: Outfits that align with your brand colors or the vibe of your company.
If you’re unsure, bring two options — I’m happy to help you choose what will look best on camera during your session.
How do I prepare for my headshot session?
A little preparation goes a long way in making sure you love your final headshots. Here’s how to get ready:
Rest and hydrate: A good night’s sleep and plenty of water will help your skin look refreshed.
Grooming: Schedule haircuts, beard trims, or color touch-ups a few days before your session.
Clothing: Try on your outfits in advance to make sure they fit comfortably and are wrinkle-free.
Makeup and skincare: Keep makeup natural and polished, and avoid heavy new skincare products right before your shoot.
Mindset: Most importantly, relax — I’ll guide you through posing, angles, and expressions so you look confident and approachable on camera.
My job is to make the process easy and enjoyable. All you need to do is show up feeling prepared and ready to shine!
How soon will I get my finished headshots?
Turnaround time is quick! For a Refresh Session and Personal Branding Session, you’ll receive a curated online gallery of images within 5–7 business days after their session. For a Corporate Headshot Session and Office Sessions, you’ll receive your edited digital images in 2 business days.
If you’re on a tight deadline — for example, you need a new headshot for a conference, LinkedIn update, or company website — rush editing is available for an additional fee. Just let me know in advance, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your timeline.
Do you offer on-location or in-office headshots for teams?
Yes! I specialize in bringing professional headshot photography directly to your office anywhere in the Denver metro area. My on-location office headshot sessions are designed to be seamless, efficient, and stress-free — perfect for law firms, real estate offices, tech companies, startups, and creative teams.
I handle everything: lighting, setup, posing direction, and individual coaching to make sure everyone looks their best. You can also choose to include group photos or branding images during the same session.
For teams, I offer customized packages that make updating staff headshots easy and convenient — saving you time while ensuring a consistent, polished look across your website, LinkedIn profiles, and marketing materials.
Do you offer on-site headshot stations for conferences or corporate events?
Yes! I offer a fully equipped Event Headshot Station that brings professional photography directly to your conference, trade show, or corporate event anywhere in the Denver Metro area.
The Headshot Station is designed to be a high-value experience for your attendees — combining a polished studio setup with a fast, efficient workflow that allows hundreds of guests to receive professional headshots in a single day.
I handle everything from setup to delivery, including:
Professional lighting and backdrop options
On-site posing and direction for each participant
Instant image viewing and selection
Professional retouching of chosen images
Private online gallery delivery for easy access
The Headshot Station adds incredible value to your event by offering attendees something tangible and memorable — a headshot they’ll love and actually use. It’s an excellent way to elevate your event experience and associate your brand with professionalism, confidence, and quality.
Pricing starts at $3,900, with custom quotes available based on your event size, duration, and location.
How far in advance should I book a Headshot Station?
Because event dates fill up quickly, I recommend booking your Headshot Station at least 4–6 weeks in advance. This allows time to coordinate details like your event layout, power access, attendee flow, and any custom branding you’d like to include.
For larger conferences or multi-day events in Denver, booking early also ensures we can provide additional photographers or staff as needed. If your event is coming up soon, reach out anyway — I’ll do my best to accommodate last-minute bookings when my schedule allows.
How many people can be photographed during an event?
Each Event Headshot Station is designed for efficiency and quality. Depending on your schedule and flow, we typically photograph 30 to 50 people per hour with one photographer.
For larger conferences or high-volume events, we can scale with multiple stations or additional photographers to accommodate hundreds of attendees each day. Every participant receives the same level of professionalism, posing guidance, and expert lighting to ensure a consistent, high-quality result.
What do you need from the event venue to set up the Headshot Station?
The Headshot Station is a self-contained studio setup that fits comfortably in most event spaces.
All we need is:
A 10x10-foot space (minimum) with access to standard power
A nearby table for laptop and gear setup
Reasonable proximity to foot traffic so guests can find the station easily
If your venue has unique lighting or layout considerations, I’m happy to review the space in advance to ensure a perfect setup. My goal is to make the experience seamless for your team, your attendees, and your event planner.
